Sealing Varnish
Sealing Varnish is a varnish of Manila copal and
elemi gum (a plasticizer). Dries fast to a hard
finish, resists turpentine and mineral spirits,
sands easily, making it ideal for sealing wood
panels and gesso. Thin with denatured alcohol.

Wax Medium
Rublev Colours Wax Medium gives a satin finish to
colors, yet does not extend the drying time of
oil paint, making it thicker and more workable.
Add to oil colors as a working medium to add body
to paint. When making your own oil colors add wax
medium to oil when grinding pigments. The wax
helps to give the paint a buttery consistency and
guards against oil separating from pigment.

Conservar Dammar Varnish is a varnish made from
the best grade of natural dammar resin dissolved
in aromatic and aliphatic solvents with UV light
stabilizer. Conservar will not oxidize or yellow
for 50 years if protected from UV light as shown

Pigments) is a colorless, reversible varnish made
from hydrogenated hydrocarbon (Regalrez 1094)
resin dissolved in pure, low-aromatic solvent and
UV light stabilizer. Conservar Finishing Varnish
is made according to the original formula
developed by E. René de la Rie formerly of the
National Gallery, Washington, D.C.

Lac Water Varnish 8 fl oz
Lac Water Varnish is a resin varnish that can be
used as a fixative on watercolor paintings to
isolate painting layers and enhance color
saturation. It is based on a recipe used by
watercolorists of the 19th century. 237 ml (8 fl
