DMRC Renamed The Noida City Centre Metro Station
As 'Wave City Center For 10 Years In Noida

In a move to station branding and
revenue-generating policy, the Delhi Metro Rail
Corporation (DMRC) has renamed the Noida City
Centre Metro station as 'Wave City Center, Noida,
for next 10 years. Noida-based real estate firm
Wave Infratech got the naming rights for three
Metro stations in March this year, including
Noida City Centre, Noida Sector 18, MG Road and
HUDA City Centre.

The move has been taken by the DMRC to generate
revenue and branding of metro stations. Now, the
real estate company will be able to promote its
name and attract all to its real estate services
and solutions for marketing residential
apartments in Noida in an effective manner. It is
well-known that Rapid Metro in Gurgaon already
follows the practice of station branding.

Keeping the new trend in mind and getting better
income opportunities, Noida Metro Rail Company
(NMRC) has also plan to auction certain stations
along the 28km Noida-Greater Noida corridor for
the purpose of branding. "Once we work out the
details and number of stations that will be
auctioned, tenders will be initiated for the
scheme. Station branding is successful
internationally and we will soon adopt it too,"
says an NMRC official.
