Nursing Congress
  • Composed of Delegates elected by RN staff.
  • Convenes every year has quarterly checkpoints,
    educational events, and ongoing communication

  • Delegates help to determine and prioritize the
    agenda of the Nursing Cabinet for the coming
    year.
  • Incorporates feedback from the Nursing Work Life
    Survey

Cabinet
  • Appointed yearly by the Executive Committee
  • Appointees come from across the Health System
  • Members serve as liaisons to practice areas and
    are the conduit for PNSO news and issues
  • Meets twice a month (1st and 3rd Thursdays
    1400-1600, Medical Center Boardroom.) All RNs
    are welcome to attend

    our shared-governance organization and the
    individual accomplishments of a large number of
    our professional nurses.

Magnet Designation
  • Magnet Recognition is the highest level of
    recognition awarded nursing services by the
    American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

A decade of research shows that nurses practicing
in Magnet facilities report high levels of job
satisfaction, control over their practice, the
ability to provide high quality care and strong
recruitment and retention.
