• Bird is the infection caused by the Influenza
  virus that occurs naturally in wild birds.
• The flu strain that worries health officials H5h1
  is spread easily among birds and can sicken and
  kill wild and domesticated birds such as
  chickens, ducks, turkeys, and migratory birds.
• Less commonly the virus can affect pigs and
  tigers.

• The virus does not usually but some have become
  infected by coming in contact with sick birds or
  surfaces contaminated with feces and/or
  secretions of sick birds.
• Researchers are focusing on how the virus mutates
  and are working to develop an effective treatment
  and vaccine that curb the spread of the flu if
  the virus changes enough become easily
  transmittable from human to human

• Scientist say that bird flu could be the next
  pandemic.
• Fear is mounting that the world could be on the
  verge of the next pandemic.
• Over the past two year two years 116 cases have
  kill 60 people in Asian countries.

  monitoring bird flu cases world wide and putting
  in plans for dealing the flu pandemic.
