Routes To Registration

• Route A
• For those with appropriate engineering
  qualifications and meet the competence
  requirements
• Simple application form
• Available on line
• Route B
• For those without the required qualifications,
  but meet the competence requirements
• Simple application form
• Interviewed on site, by one of your colleagues

Approved scheme

• Approved Route
• For those who have successfully completed an
  IMechE Approved
• Apprenticeship Programme
• Similar to Routes A and B Application Form, but
  without having to complete the competences
  section, just personal details, details of the
  Approved Apprenticeship Programme and your
  commitment statements

Routes To Registration

• Qualifications
• National Certificate or National Diploma in
  Engineering or Construction the Built
  Environment
• An approved qualification in Engineering or
  Construction at level 6 in the Scottish
  Qualifications and Credit Framework
• The City and Guilds Higher Professional Diploma
  in Engineering
• An approved level 3 NVQ or SVQ
• A technical certificate as part of an approved
  Advanced Apprenticeship programme
• A work based learning programme approved by a
  licensed Engineering Institution
• Qualifications in similar areas providing they
  are assessed by a licensed Engineering
  Institution
