Micro Air Separation System (MASS)
  • Highly innovative, patented liquid and solids
    separation system.
  • Performs separation operations difficult to
    achieve using traditional DAF systems.
  • Design simplicity allows for a smaller footprint
    and results in a system that is easy to operate
    and economical to use and maintain.

How the MASS Works
  • Free air, gas or sometimes other liquid, is
    dissolved in the MASS hydrocyclone.
  • Bubbles as small as 1 micron attach to coagulated
    particulates, lifting them to the surface.
  • A scraper blade removes any concentrated sludge
    from the surface.
  • Clean water flows to the bottom of the vessel and
    out to the effluent line.

How the O3 MASS Works
  • Typically, the MASS utilizes free air from the
    atmosphere that is then dissolved in the
    Micro-Bubble Generator within the unit.
  • In the O3 MASS Application, we have replaced air
    with Ozone.
  • The pressures and forces created cause intimate
    mixing of the ozone, and the fluids to be
    treated, as a result the ozone is fully dissolved
    rather than entrained.
  • A predetermined pressure is maintained for a
    specific period of time to ensure maximum
    dissolution and disinfection.
  • Once the pressure is released into the
    contact/flotation vessel, oxidized material and
    other micro-coagulated particles rise to the
    surface with the newly generated micro-bubbles.
  • The micro-bubbles containing residual ozone are
    also utilized to further the oxidation/disinfectio
    n process.
