ReviewsFrom the Publisher
  • The ideal resource for handling difficult,
modern-day issues with children. The first book
of its kind, Storybooks for Tough Times
    highlights recently published, high-quality
children's literature that deals with sensitive
subjects. This timely book is an easy-to-use
reference that is perfect for parents, teachers
    and librarians

Personal impression
  • I thought this would be a great resource to use
for children dealing with difficult adult type
issues in their life. For example death of a
family member. Each page indexes a story has a
brief summery of the story, a getting connected
section, which helps the adult to understand how
the child might be feeling and lists several
discussion questions for after the story has been
    read
