Meteorological Testing Equipment Pole
  • One meteorological testing equipment pole to
    support anemometer and wind vane to collect wind
    resource data in a M-GN Subdistrict
  • 8 inches in diameter, 165.5 (50 meters) feet tall
  • Supported by four guy wires, 110 feet out
  • Placed on 9 square foot metal plate
  • Removed from site upon completion of data
    collection

Estimated Costs and Financial Capacity
  • Funded by grant from U.S. Bureau of Indian
    Affairs, total award 152,000
  • Each pole costs 32,000 to install and remove
    pole
  • 3000 to 5000 to remove
  • Total award also includes data collection and
    evaluation, to be done by Distributed Generation
    Systems of Lakewood, Colorado

Review Criteria
  • Section 10.22,A,3,a(6) Surveying and resource
    analysis allowed without a permit in an M-GN
    Subdistrict.
  • Section 10.22,A,3,c(29) Other structures, uses,
    or services essential to allowed uses are
    allowed in an M-GN Subdistrict with a permit.
  • Section 10.26,F Features of buildings which
    contain no floor area such as chimneys, towers,
    ventilators and spires, may exceed the maximum
    building height of 100 feet with Commission
    approval.
