Deployment Operations
A direct connection from the home network to
multiple deployed clients.
pTerex X7
pTerex V7
The pTerex B7 base unit Connects directly to
the Home Network

And one pTerex B7 Base unit supports multiple
mobile units
21
Secure Configuration
Secure access to the critical information
necessary to accomplish the mission.
pTerex mobile units can securely support multiple
clients with varying connectivity requirements

For classified requirements, a pTerex Classified
B7 base unit is installed on the home network
Classified Ethernet (8)
Internet
Type 1 encryption devices are used between the
base units and with the mobile units for
classified encryption
Authorized clients simply plug-in and they are
securely connected to the Classified Home Network

Upon Initiation
  • Deployed Unit establishes internet connections to
the Base Unit through a Mobile IP Tunnel using
Pre-shared Keys, HMAC-MD5 Hash, Signature, and
    Replay Protection Technology.
  • Base and Deployed Unit negotiate and establish an
IPSEC Tunnel inside the Mobile IP Tunnel using
    DH5, SHA1, and AES256 encryption.
  • Base Unite routes client data to the Firewall, to
the Home Network, and ultimately to the Home
    Enclaves related clients and services.
  • All Unclassified client traffic travels through
    the IPSEC tunnel.
  • Wireless clients associate with the deployed unit
    using WPA2.
  • Deployed Unit requests authentication through AAA
Server in Home Enclave for wireless clients.
  • Authenticated wireless clients communicate using
802.11i, PKI Certificates, AES Encryption with 30
minute key rotation and 802.1x authentication.

23
Continuity Options
Critical connectivity when there are no second
chances to be first.
Redundant base units will ensure mobile clients
stay connected
Ethernet T1/ISDN 802.11 b/g Cellular Satellite
pTerex mobile units will automatically fail over
upon failure of a Home Network connection
Internet
If the Home Network fails-over to the COOP
Network at another, geographically separate
facility
The pTerex base unit will automatically failover
with no session interruption for mobile clients
Home Network
COOP Network
Installing a redundant base station at the COOP
Network, further enhances operational continuity
