  • Cecil Rhodes-In 1888 he extracted mining rights
    and soon promoted the colonization of the regions
    land, labor and resources.
  • In 1895, the British South Africa Company adopted
    the name Rhodesia after Cecil Rhodes.
  • Natives rebelled against settlement of whites
    with little success.

    Rhodesia rather than the minority of whites.

    1979, the Lancaster House Agreement ended
    biracial rule.
