Appearance

• More colour in a white wine usually indicates
  more flavour and age
• You can guess the age of a red wine by the
  "rim.
• Purple may indicate youth -orange to brown
  indicates age.
• Swirling - "Good legs" may indicate a thicker
  body and a higher alcohol content and/or
  sweetness level.

• Humans can perceive only four tastes

• Salty (front, upper sides of tongue)
• Try focusing your attention on one sensation at
  a time by taking a sip of wine, and swallowing
  or discarding immediately, then followed by
  another sip.

  mellows.
