  • Based on an evaluation of a familys financial
    strength
  • funded by Fed/State Government
  • Data is gathered through Federal Financial Aid
    Forms (FAFSA)
  • A Need Analysis is used to determine an
    Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)
  • EFC follows student

  • Each school determines need eligibility by
    subtracting the EFC from their Cost of Attendance
    (COA)
