The Music Business

• Martha and the Vandellas were one of the most
  successful groups in the Motown roster during the
  1960s. They were fully active from 1960 to 1972,
  performing at various times do wop, pop, rock
  and roll and soul.
• They were labeled the most second successful all
  female group after The Supremes.
• Founded in Detroit,Michgan in 1960, the group had
  initially gone by the name The Del-Phis and
  originally was a quartet of by Martha Reeves,
  Rosalind Ashford, Anette Beard and original lead
  singer Gloria Williamson.
