Internet Access Options
  • Our school needs Internet access for the new
    computers.
  • The least expensive Internet option for our
location, is DSL Internet costing from 50 to
    250 per month.
  • For a period of five years, this cost will be
    approximately 3,000 to 15,000.
  • DSL supports up to fifteen computers at a time on
    the Internet.
  • Because we have twenty computers, we would be
better off to upgrade to the T1 High Speed
    Internet access.

16
Internet Access Options (Continued)
  • The T1 service more expensive, with costs from
    100 to 400 per month.
  • Over five years this cost would be approximately
6,000 to 24,000. Midway between these is
15,000. This would be our cost for T1 High
    Speed Internet service.
  • This service is always running, provides a higher
quality service with a greater capacity to
    support 30 computers at once.
  • T1 allows twenty-three long distance phone lines
to be connected to the server, eliminating costly
    phone bills.

    Buy, a well-known technology superstore.
