What is the 1 reason that specifiers are
reluctant to specify LED on projects? COLOR
CONSISTENCY BETWEEN FIXTURES Bruck and Wila has
solved the LED White Color consistency problem.
While the industry standard LED binning structure
provides for a 7 step MacAdam Ellipse. Bruck and
Wila fixtures using an LED module with a cold
remote phosphor produced within 2 MacAdam
Ellipses which is centered on the Black Body
Locus giving and unprecedented fixture to fixture
consistency of /- 50 Kelvin. We offer this
tight consistency with up to 1000 lumens
depending on the wattage.

What is a MacAdam Ellipse?
1 Ellipse is defined as the human eyes ability
to see a change in color

Black Body Curve CCT Bruck and Wila land on the
Curve where perfect color is. Others stray, not
taking the y axis into account.

  • Color point centered on Black Body Locus
  • Lightolier Calculite specs at a 5 step but
Wila/Bruck is at 2 step MacAdam Ellipse!!

  • Data points represent color points of
    approximately 1000 Bruck/Wila - 15w, 3000k, 700lm
LED modules for fixtures, manufactured in January
2009. All units produced are tested and shown.
  • Our LED has an impressive consistency of only
    or 50 Kelvin.
  • 99 of the modules are within 2 MacAdam Ellipses

CRI 97 for 700lm, 81-83 for 1000lm
High CRI and R9
Lower CRI and R9
Notice the rich vibrant red in the photo on the
left. Wila has a high R9 of value which brings
out deeper reds and makes skin tones look natural
as they would in the sun.

12
CRI
Intelligent Light Solutions
  • CRIs of 80 or 95 are available
  • 80 modules have a 20 higher efficacy
  • 90 modules have industry best color rendering
properties, including vivid red portrayal (R9gt90)

BRUCK / WILA CRI value of up to 97 available
13
R9 Value
Intelligent Light Solutions
  • When we say CRI, it usually means Ra, which is an
    avg. of R1 to R8.
  • R9-R14 are saturated colors commonly found in
Retail environments. R9 is the saturated red
    color.
  • The ability to reproduce red is key for
accurately rendering colors as color red often
can be found mixed into processed colors.
  • Lighting with high R9 values produce the most
    vivid colors.
  • Bruck and Wila exceed all standards in rendering
the color red with max. R990.

Lumen Maintenance

While others may claim 50,000 hours of life WE
prove it. By using modules with patented Cold
Phosphor technology we have solved a significant
failure point in LED fixtures. Our LEDs have
been tested to serve automotive grade
requirements at 85 Relative Humidity and 85o
Celsius to prove our lumen output and our color
holds over time.
Industry Standard
We provide only 1 depreciation after 3K hours
and 4 after 50K hours versus 25 after 50K hour
for the industry standard.

Shown 20, 40 and 60 degree reflectors for the
Bruck Lighting 10w Chroma Spot Fixture and Wila
621 LED DownLight. Secondary optics are
characterized by how wide a beam they produce.
The beam width is quoted as an angular width
rather than a physical beam size at a given
distance. The angular width the optics produce is
specified by measuring the angular separation
between the directions (x1 and x2) at which the
intensity has fallen to half its peak value
(fmax). This value is called the Full Width Half
Maximum (FWHM) divergence.
  • Peak intensities with Bruck/Wila 70mm reflectors

The candela is the unit of luminous intensity
that is, power emitted by a light source in a
particular direction
