PART TWO DREAM THE DREAM

  • This is the journey of the dream (the reality of
    achievement)
  • Brainstorm, evaluate options and narrow your
    possible dreams to the one
  • Think of someone who has achieved a dream similar

  • How did they achieve their dream
  • Place any information you collect on a blog
    (online journal) to share with others

  • The pathway puzzler is about students being able
    to
  • realistically address pathways and obstacles in
    the planning
  • of achieving a dream
  • Student will go to a website and complete a
    Snakes
  • Ladders game that addresses pathways and
    obstacles or
  • develop one of their own puzzles.
  • Internet site? Need to look at website addresses
    that might have games.

PART THREE SHARE MY DREAMS
  • Share my dream with others
  • The sharing of a dream can take place via email,
    the classroom or a blog. Depending on your group
    of students and how well they know each other.
  • Discuss a dream that you have, in class with
    others
  • List all SIOT student email addresses from class
    mates for the sharing of information.
  • Make a file of all the information relevant to
    your dream
  • Share information with all class via email.

  • This presentation is the students plan of action,
  • how they might achieve their goals. How they see
  • themselves achieving their goals, with a
    realistic
  • view on the action plan, taking into account
  • pathways and obstacles.
  • Develop a written story board on how you might

  • Develop a Power Point presentation on what your
    dream is about and how you can achieve this dream

PART FOUR FUTURE DREAM MAKER.COM

  • This is the students view on where they see
    themselves in a
  • few years time and what their dream might look
    like. A
  • digital story they might take away with them to
    look at in the
  • future.
  • Think about your dream and what it might look
    like in the future (after you have achieved your
    dream)
  • Take or collect photos that represent your dream
    in the future
  • Write down words that represent your dream
  • Develop a Digital Story about the achievement of
    your dream.

  • Where to from here
  • We have teachers involved in the LearnScope
    project trialling the E-learning tools on
    students to see if the students are engaged in
    their learning.
  • We are setting up PD for teaching staff to use
    the e-learning tools in the classroom
  • Lesson Plan and e-learning tools will be put on
    the TAFE website for staff to access.
  • We will trial the Lesson Plan in 2006 with at
    risk young people.
