1(No Transcript)
2- Provision wireless local area networks (WLAN) for
the delivery of Visionet IPTv services at
selected Military Bases in the US. and overseas.
- Insure the WLANs are easily deployable with
sufficient resources to support quality delivery
of Visionet IPTv services throughout the
deployment areas. - Provide the requisite software and security for
use of Visionets IPTv services on both wired and
wireless Base networks.
3- Install Visionet IPTv software on Base computers
that have shared access, including MWR, ACS, and
CPO facilities, libraries, gyms, dining areas,
Base schools, barracks, hospitals, dental
clinics, and clubs. - Provide Visionet IPTv services for use
by military personnel on their personal
computers. - Provide communication tools through the Visionet
IPTv interface for military personnel and their
families to share personal videos and
information.
4- Provide for the Visionet Military IPTv channel
containing entertainment and information of
particular interest to military personnel,
including video-on-demand (VOD) services for Army
Forces related sports, training, combat, health,
fitness, history, tradition, technology,
lifestyle, diversity, and such other categories
commanders deem appropriate. - Subject to licensing, provide for streaming and
VOD services for Armed Forces radio and
television networks through the Visionet IPTv
interface.
5- Provide Visionet mobile IPTv tech-nology for use
on the personal cellular telephones of military
personnel and their families.
6Configuration of a WLAN is problematic to each
Military Base. Performance depends on properly
positioned wireless access points and a robust
backplane. IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) integrated with an
802.11 (WiFi) mesh-style network offers the best
coverage. We recommend 1Gb/sec. wireless links
from a central Visionet proxy server located on
Base to remote Gigabit switches and routers in
the targeted IPTv wireless coverage areas.
Primary IPTv programming can be transferred to
the proxy server by fiber or though a VSAT
terminal.

11- BASE PROXY SERVERS Two Intel S5000PAL Dual Xeon
1.6Ghz dual- core proxy severs with 320Gb of
storage capacity. - 2. PEERING Routing from Visionets IPTv
head-ends to proxy servers located on US.
Military Bases designated for IPTv service. - REMOTE LOCATIONS VOD content can be transferred
using periodic VSAT data transfer sessions.
Conversely, 24/7 linear broadcast channel use
about 1Mb/sec. of bandwidth continuously.
12- RESOURCE ALLOCATION 1Gb/sec. WLAN data paths can
serve about 6,000 IPTv client computers based on
an over-subscription factor of four. Wireless
access points can effectively manage traffic for
about 30 concurrent connections or 120 users.
These are the basic parameters for determining
the allocation of wireless network resources. - Identifying available category-5 UTP on
Military Bases for transmitting IPTv programming
to fixed computer terminals could substantially
reduce the size and cost of wireless deployments.
13- SHARED TERMINALS Visionet will assist in the
installation of Visionet IPTv on Base computer
terminals designated for shared IPTv access.
Pay-per-view modules will be removed from the
IPTv interface on all shared computers. Base
network administrators will have full
administra-tive rights on the IPTv networks for
purposes of modifying, disabling, or adding IPTv
programming as directed by the Base commanders. - PERSONAL IPTv Visionet will provide self-
configuring installation software on
pocket-size CDs for installation of Visionet
IPTv on the personal computers of military
personnel and their families.
14- FOR WHOM Programmed specifically for active duty
personnel and their families, veterans and
reservists - PURPOSE Inform, educate, motivate, and
entertain - STAY IN TOUCH Video communication services for
loved ones, and family - ARMED FORCES NETWORKS Convenient access to Armed
Forces Radio and Television - SERVICE GUIDES Interactive guides featuring
options for recreation, night life, shopping,
entertainment, real estate, and more

Angeles and Atlanta that are controlled remotely
from our operations centers in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The facilities have a combined capacity for
approximately three million subscribers and can
be easily expanded as demand warrants. Through
our subsidiary CLEC, we utilize the fiber optic
network backbones of ATT, MZIMA, Sprint/Embarq,
and Cogent for IPTv transport provisioned in
10Gb/sec. increments.
