Jesus Love Was
1) Possessive (He loved His own)
2) Continuous (He continued to love them to the
end)
3) Unconditional (He even washed Judas feet)

4) Unselfish (He was serving in His most
difficult hour)

2. Possess a SECURITY that allows them to
minister to others. (John 133)
1) Jesus knew His position and was willing not to
flaunt it.
2) Jesus knew His calling and was willing to be
faithful to it.
3) Jesus knew His future and was willing to
submit to it.

• Security is the prerequisite to great
  undertakings. Only the secure will stretch.

• Security is the prerequisite to small
  undertakings. Only the secure will stoop.

• He had nothing to prove.

• He had nothing to hide.

When He got to Simon Peter, Peter said, Master,
You wash my feet? Jesus answered, You dont
understand now what I am doing, but it will be
clear enough to you later. Peter then
persisted, Youre not going to wash my feet -
ever!

RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. (John 138-9)
Jesus said, If I dont wash you, you cant be a
part of what I am doing. Master! said Peter.
Not only my feet, then. Wash my hands! Wash my
head!

Dont push your way to the front dont sweet
talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside,
and help others get ahead. Dont be obsessed
with getting your own advantage. Forget
yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.
