Friends and Influences

• He was greatly influenced by Paul Strand.
• In 1932, a group of photographers including
  Adams, Edward Weston and Imogene Cunningham
  started the f/64 club.

In the ZONE

• In 1939, Adams began documenting his research on
  exposure, processing and printing. He called this
  the Zone System.

Prices Soar

• In the 1970s Adams photographs sold to
  collectors for prices never equaled by a living
  American photographer.
• Christies of London still sells his photographs.

• He died in 1984.
• He lived to be 82 years old.
