Message to Parents
  • Parents please remember that YOU need to
    monitor your son/daughters progress on a weekly
    basis. Please take the time to actually view the
    progress report and grades that are available.
    Remember you are as important to the success of
    your student as they are.
  • Full Time students who graduate with WOLF will
    receive
  • a High School Diploma from WOLF High School
    beginning
  • 09-10 school year.

Mid-term Exam
  • When you reach the midway point in your course
    (somewhere between 28-50) you will get to the
    mid-term exam. You are NOT allowed to open this
    test at home or work past the midterm to increase
    your complete, if you do, you will be suspended
    from your course. You MUST schedule an
    appointment at the WOLF Lab to test.

DO NOT base your progress on the status base as
they are only a snapshot of your work. They DO NO
include pending or in-progress work.

Mid-term / Final Reset Fee
  • If the student opens the mid-term or final
  • outside the testing site (The WOLF Lab), a
  • reset fee must be paid before the student
  • will be allowed to test. The student must
  • pay the reset fee of 20.00 at the WOLF Lab.
  • NOTE A reset may require up to three working
  • days to complete. Plan Ahead.
  • Students are NOT allowed to work past the midterm
    to
  • increase their complete. If this is done the
    student will
  • be suspended from the course.

Plagiarism and Cheating Policy
  • It is the intention of the WOLF program to
    respect and
  • value the work of others by creating a climate in
    which
  • plagiarism and cheating are NEVER acceptable.
    Cutting
  • and pasting from the course is NOT allowed. If a
  • student is caught plagiarizing or cheating
    (opening any other
  • window while taking a unit test i.e. MySpace,
    Internet Radio,
  • Yahoo Chat or Advanced Academics) in the program
    the
  • following consequences will follow
  • No credit for the assignment or test in which the
  • plagiarism or cheating occurred
  • Removal from the course
  • Removal from the WOLF program

WOLF Grading Policy
  • All WOLF grades are weighted using the WCSD
    formula below
  • Coursework (Homework, Essays, and Unit Tests
    60 of your grade. You must complete each
    assignment with a 60 or better. Students get 2
    attempts at each homework assignment and essay
    scored under the 60 requirement, however, unit
    tests are a 1 shot deal, fail a unit test keep
    the score.
  • Midterm 15 of your grade. You get 3 attempts
    to pass this test with a 60
  • or better to move on in
    your course. (59.5 rounds up to 60 59.1 fails)
  • Final 25 of your grade. You get 2 attempts to
    pass this test with a 60
  • or better.
  • If you fail the final on both attempts a grade of
    F will be issued for the course.

WOLF Lab RULES.
  • WOLF students are only allowed at
    WOLF/Supplemental Credit for testing when the
    WOLF Lab is open.
  • ALL WOLF students MUST have PHOTO ID to test or
    work in the lab. If you dont have PHOTO ID you
    do not test. (Drivers License, Learners Permit,
    Passport or Current Year School ID)
  • Progress Reports are required for all testing at
    the WOLF Lab 1st, 2nd, and 3rd attempts. No
    progress report, NO TESTING.
  • All food and drinks MUST be kept away from the
    computers water and electronics dont mix.
  • Cell Phones and Music Players are NOT allowed in
    the WOLF Lab during testing.
  • NO GAME PLAYING or INTERNET SURFING is allowed.
  • Foul language or gestures will result in removal
    from the lab.
  • Cheating is NEVER allowed.
  • ALL STUDENTS MUST BE WCSD DRESS CODE COMPLIANT.
    IF YOU ARE NOT YOU WILL NOT ENTER THE WOLF LAB.
  • Midterm and Final exams require an appointment.
    NO WALKINS. Call 857-3159 to
    schedule your appointment.
  • Please clean up your trash.

Full Time Students
  • Full time students must sign in and work 6 hours
    per day 5 days a week in each course. The
    individual schedules offered are
  • Schedule A 21 Calendar Days to complete 1
    course
  • Schedule B 42 Calendar Days to complete 2
    courses
  • Schedule C 63 Calendar Days to complete 3
    courses
  • Full Time students are expected to log in and
    work 6 hours per day 5 days a week in their
  • course's This is a mandatory requirement.
  • Full time students are expected to have a 2-way
    conversation with their teacher(s) 1x a week for
    attendance. If you fail to communicate with your
    teacher it counts as
  • 5 absences (at 10 absences students will be
    required to attend Kathys Boot Camp).
  • Midterm and Final exams MUST be taken at the WOLF
    Lab. If a student opens the test at
  • home or works around the test to increase their
    complete they will be suspended from
  • the course and pay a reinstatement fee of 20 per
    course.
  • Full time students suspended from their courses
    for lack of progress will be required
  • to pay a 20 fee per course to be reinstated.

FT Schedule A
  • FT Students on Schedule A have 21 Calendar Days
    to complete 1 course. Weekends and Holidays are
    included in the course term. Students must sign
    in and work 6 hours per day 5 days a week. Below
    are the progress percentages
  • 28 of course work completed in 7 calendar days
  • 43 of course work completed in 10 calendar days
    including the midterm.
  • 64 of course work completed in 14 calendar days
  • 100 of course work completed in 21 calendar days
    including the final exam.

    to complete 2 courses. Weekends and Holidays are
    included in the course term. Students must sign

2-way Communication
  • 2-way communication is required
  • for all Full-time WOLF students.
  • Communication must be with a
  • teacher for your subject once a
  • week. Communication day for
  • WOLF is on Tuesdays and must be
  • done through the In-class chat
  • (Talk to a Teacher) feature.
  • All chats are recorded.
  • Boot Camp 5 days a week 8-10am
  • at the WOLF Lab. This will be
  • Mandatory for all students
  • suspended for attendance.
  • (this will be scheduled by the
  • counselor/administrator).

Part Time Students
  • 90 Calendar days to complete 1 (.5) credit class.
  • (this includes weekends and holidays)
  • Students must log in and work in their course
    5 days a week. This is a mandatory requirement.
  • (reading a book or writing an essay should be
    logged as this is not calculated in the time on
    line)
  • This is a mandatory requirement

  • 10 of coursework completed in 14 calendar days
  • 20 of coursework complete in 28 calendar days
  • 43 of coursework and midterm complete in 50
    calendar days
  • 64 of coursework complete in 70 calendar days

Extensions
  • Part Time Students If you think youre not
    going to meet your course deadline AND you
  • contact the Supplemental Credit Office (333-6100)
    no later 7 calendar days after your deadline
  • AND if you are 75 complete or better AND if you
    have an average grade of 75 or better you
  • MAY qualify for a courtesy extension that will
    extend your original end day by 10 calendar
  • days. There will be a 20 fee.
  • If you were allowed the courtesy extension but
    still not finished, AND your are 90 complete or
  • better AND if you have an average grade of 75 or
    better AND you are requesting an
  • additional extension no later than 7 calendar
    days after your extended deadline you MAY
  • qualify for a 7-day extension. That extension
    fee is 50 and must be paid no later than 7
  • calendar days after your last deadline date.
  • Full Time Students In exceptional
    circumstances, additional days may be added
  • to course term. There will be no charge for this
    request. Additional extensions of
  • time (if granted) will carry a fee of 20 per
    course. In the case of a reinstatement
  • Or a second extension, the student and/or parent
    will need to come to the
  • Supplemental Credit Office to complete paperwork
    and pay the appropriate fee's).

  • Attention ALL WOLF Students
  • ALL students are required to provide proof to
    the WOLF Lab Staff that they are ready for their
    midterm and final and that all work prior to each
    test has been completed.  Any assignments that
    are shown as Not Taken, In Progress, or Abandoned
    MUST be completed before the student will be
    allowed to test. In Progress and Abandoned
    assignments must be reset by the students
    teacher.
  • How to get acceptable proof  Go to your
    classroom then use the drop down menu and select
    My Grades, to access the grade viewer. Select
    the course you need the progress report for.
    Click on Edit on your toolbar choose select
    all, go to print and choose print selection.
    Print out the 2-3 pages and bring all pages to
    the lab.If you have any assignments that have
    not been completed prior to the midterm or final
    we will require you to reschedule your
    appointment until you finish all the missing
    work this includes the essays.

Welcome to WOLF!
  • To log-in go to http//wolf.advancedacademics.com
    and input your username and password. You should
    write down your password. If you forget it use
    the lookup login button and fill in your
    information, i.e. First Name, Last Name, Date of
    Birth, etc. and you will be given a new password.
    The WOLF Staff will not be able to see your
    password to give it to you if forgotten.

  • Before you will be able to begin your courses)
    you will need to watch the Navigation
  • Videos that Advanced Academics provides. You must
    watch all 4 videos then click on
  • the Finished Watching Videos button to be
    directed to the WOLF home page.

  • If you try to skip past the videos you will get
    an error telling you that you
  • must watch the entire video before continuing.

WOLF Home Page
  • Welcome to the WOLF Program home page. Here you
    will be able to view your progress per course,
    view any
  • help demos (I.e. Student Locker Demo) and see
    announcements from the WOLF Lab. To access your
    courses)
  • simply move your mouse to the change applications
    list on the right side of the home page and
    click on
  • Classroom. You may need to update your flash
    payer and allow pop ups to move on from the home
    page.

My Courses
  • Welcome to the My Courses Page. On this page,
    you will be able to access your
  • courses). As you can see, there is a list of
    courses) to choose from. You will click on the
  • Course Home button to get to the beginning page
    of your course. You will also have access
  • to a course calendar, this will help you track
    your assignments due.

  • There are several ways to access your course. If
    its your first time in your courses), you should
  • click Start from the Beginning. If you have
    already accessed a course and want to continue
    where
  • you left off, click Last Point or click on the
    Jump To button down in the course outline.
    Since
  • this is your first time in the course, you will
    want to click on Start from the Beginning. One
    the
  • course home page you will also see the Virtual
    Teacher, on the side of your screen, this is
    where
  • you, The Student, will be able to monitor your
    own progress throughout your course. The student
  • will see the, Course Name, Current Grade, and
    Percent Complete.
  • (DO NOT base your progress on the status bars in
    the Virtual Teacher, as this is only a snapshot
    of
  • the current work you have completed. The bars do
    not reflect any pending work.)

  • Now that you are in the course, lets take a look
    at how you can navigate through the system. To
    navigate back and forth through the content
    section by section, just click on the arrows on
    either side of Navigate Content. This will take
    you through each section of the course.

  • When navigating through sections, its important
    to remember there may be multiple pages within
    each section. This will be pointed out by page
    number links visible within the Section
    Navigation Box.

How to print a progress report.
  • Go into your classroom by selecting the link
    under Change Applications.

  • Once you are in the Classroom area you will need
    to use the drop down menu in the upper left
    corner and select My Grades.

  • Now that you are in the Grade Viewer you will
    need to select the course
  • you need to print the progress report for.

  • You will need to highlight the entire page by
    using your left mouse button and dragging it down
    the page, then click file on your toolbar and
    select print. This will bring up your print
    options window and you will need to check
    Selection.

  • You should get 3-5 pages for each course you are
    printing the progress report. If you get to
    this point and click on selection and your
    printer only give you a single page, you may need
    to copy and paste the information into Microsoft
    Word and print It from there.
  • NOTE
  • Students are required to check the progress
    report to make sure all assignments up to the
    midterm exam or final exam read as Pending or
    Graded.
  • If you see In Progress, Not Taken, or Abandoned
    you will need to contact your teacher to request
    resets before you will be allowed to take your
    proctored tests at the WOLF Lab.

  • After selecting your course all assessments will
    be listed with Grade, Points Possible,
  • Possible, Status, and Notes. One of the
    unique features of this new platform is the
  • Ability for your online teacher to grant you the
    opportunity to retake an assessment. If
  • an assessment can be retaken, a message will be
    posted in the notes section.

Talk to a Teacher - Chat
  • To access Instant Chat, simply click on the
    button labeled Talk To A Teacher at the top
    right corner of your screen. Once clicked, a
    window will open displaying a chat screen. The
    Active Users window allows you to see all of your
    teachers that are currently logged into the
    system. To invite a teacher to chat, simply
    click on their name and click on Private Chat.
    This will take you into a private room where you
    can discuss homework or other school related
    issues with your teachers.

IMPORTANT The Chat window is considered a
classroom. Only conversation pertaining to your
courses) or questions about your courses) should
be asked. Any use of Foul Language will result
in your immediate withdrawal from the WOLF
Program. ALL Chats are recorded.

  • In Private Chat, the Whiteboard can be utilized
    to work out problems. You can draw, write, color,
    and diagram. You can chat with your teacher as
    well by typing in your question in the space
    provided click Send when finished.

Midterm Final Exam Reminder
  • Remember If you open your midterm or final exam
    at home or take the exams at home there is a 20
    fee per test to reset.
  • Students must take the midterm and final exams in
    a PROCTORED setting (WOLF Lab).
  • As soon as the student reaches the midterm
    (between 28 - 50) they must call the WOLF Lab
    to make an appointment to take the test. Once
    taken (pass or fail) the student may continue on
    in the course.
