Chicago High-Rise Residence Janet Schirn Design
Group This Springfield-based client needed more
than a hotel setting to serve as Chicago base of
operation and his secondary residence. The goal
was to create a casual yet business-like and
sophisticated atmosphere in a 1960s lakefront
condo. Solution an open floor plan highlighted
the floor to ceiling windows, while preserving
privacy and concealing appliances and equipment
with partial walls and mobile casework units.

AV Cabinet Shelehoff Associates, Ltd. This
piece of furniture was designed to retrofit a 47
TV, VA components, two record players, and an
extensive collection of vinyls. The concept was
taken from the Johan Otto von Sprecklsens Grande
Arch de la Defense, but instead of the blue
skies, the towers and the bridge frame the most
favored view of the contemporary city dweller -
the TV screen.
