Consequences
  • Every year an estimated 1,400 students die

  • Every year an estimated 6000, 000 injuries occur

  • 78.8 of US students have used alcohol in the
    last year
  • 78.7 of WV students used alcohol in 2004
    (reference group of 4,380)
  • 77.6 of WV students used alcohol in 2006
    (reference group of 4,583)
  • 84.0 of US students used alcohol in 2007
    (reference group of 59,668)

  • 62.5 of US underage students have consumed
    alcohol in the last 30 days
  • 64.5 of WV students in 2004 had consumed
    alcohol in the last 30 days
  • 62.7 of WV students in 2006 had consumed

  • 71.4 of US students in 2007 had consumed
    alcohol in the last 30 days
