Singapore Zoo
Opened in 1994, Night Safari is the worlds first
safari park for nocturnal animals. Today, the
award-winning park welcomes more than 1.1 million
visitors a year. They come from all over the
world to enjoy the unique experience of seeing
over 2,500 animals in their naturalistic
nighttime habitats.

  • The Fishing Cat Trail simulates a nighttime
trek through the jungles of Singapore. Here, you
can expect to see native species of animals that
either used to or are still roaming our forests
    today.

  • Another must-see along this trail are the
    pangolins. Their glass-fronted, cross sectional
exhibit allows viewing of the subterranean and
ground levels of their home. Despite their scaly
appearance, pangolins are actually mammals. They
are highly endangered due to poaching for the
illegal wildlife trade. Night Safari is proud to
be the first in the world to have successfully
    bred the Sunda pangolin.

Leopard Trail
  • One of Night Safaris most popular trails, the
Leopard Trail is where you will see the largest
collection of wildlife indigenous to Southeast
Asia, along with the small- and medium-size cats
of Asia. This trek also takes you through two
spectacular walk-through habitats for an up close
encounter with some very special free-ranging
animals that like to take to the air.

East Lodge Trail
  • Accessible from the East Lodge Tram Station, this
intriguing trail will lead you to the crossroads
of Africa and Asia, where the animals of the
savannah and the tropics live side by side.
  • Be prepared to venture into the tropical
    lair of Malaysias national animal,
    the Malayan tigers.
