Title: Spheronization Machine Hire

1
Machine Hire/Rental of equipment for Extrusion
and Spheronization
2
  • Under certain circumstances, and with some
restrictions, it is possible that Caleva will
rent equipment for Extrusion and Spheronization
as well as offering hire of the Mini Coater Drier
and the Mixer Torque Rheometer. This will allow
potential users to complete projects or
investigate if projects are viable or to
    manufacture clinical trial samples.
  • In all cases the terms, conditions and costs
will be individually determined. The outlines
given below are for guidance only. All rental
projects will need to be discussed depending on
the equipment required, when it is required for
and the nature of the project.
  • Caleva will try to be helpful and flexible but
it may not be possible for all requests for
rental equipment or machine hire to be met.
  • The equipment offered with be either used or
manufactured from new. This will depend on what
is available within Caleva and on the specific
    needs of the customer.
  • Example one (Rental)
  • A guide to typical terms and conditions are
given below as an example for a Variable Density
    Extruder and a Multi-Bowl Spheronizer 250-
  • The length of the rental period is normally a
    minimum of three months

3
  • Cost of rental for the Variable Density Extruder
would be 3,800 per month. Extrusion dies and
screens are considered consumable. These would be
extra and would have to be purchased by the user.
  • The cost of rental for the MBS 250 spheronizer
    would be 3,060 per month.
  • At the end of the rental period we would require
a list of any active material used in the
equipment and the equipment would have to be
clean and a cleaning certificate provided based
    on an industry accepted method.
  • Delivery and packing costs would be extra (at
    actual cost).
  • A returnable deposit would be required
equivalent to one months rent. Capital and
deposit interest on this amount would be returned
to you at the end of the rental period.
  • If, at the end of the rental period, you wanted
to purchase the equipment then 50 of the rental
amount would be offered as a credit towards the
purchase of the same equipment or equivalent
    production equipment.

4
  • Example two (Lease)
  • If the user is sure that at the end of hire
period that the equipment would be required for
future use then a better option might be to lease
    rather than hire the equipment.
  • In this case the full purchase price (plus a
small premium and a deposit) would be divided
into up to 12 equal instalments. During the lease
period the equipment would remain the property of
Caleva Process Solutions. The end of the lease
period it would be possible for the customer to
buy the equipment outright for a nominal amount
    (generally 100).
  • This way of acquiring equipment might be
    particularly useful for contract development
laboratories who can organise their costs and
expenses differently according to if they own or
rent the equipment that the use.
  • If you want to discuss this type of arrangement
    please contact us directly.
  • If there is anything that you need to discuss or
if anything is not clear please let me know or if
you wish to consider leasing or renting equipment
    then please contact us..
