Title: Narconon Fresh Start - Alcoholism and Liver Failure

1
Alcoholism and Liver Failure
2
  • The second largest organ and the largest gland in
our body is the liver, and it is generally one of
the biggest victims of alcoholism. Drinking lot
of alcohol leads to quite a few irreparable
damages to the liver. Since the liver is
comparatively a bigger organ in the body, the
initial scarring or inflammation of the liver
will not show up soon. In fact during the initial
years of drinking there would be hardly any
symptoms seen that could indicate the decline of
    the liver due to alcohol.

3
  • This is because the liver is designed to
withstand damage to a great extent. It is capable
of repairing itself and keeping the body
    protected.

As per Narconon Fresh Start, because there are no
preliminary signs of liver failure from the body,
alcoholics are emboldened to keep on with their
bad habit. Once they have taken care of the
hangover or in certain cases become used to it,
they feel that everything else remains the same
within their body. But nothing could be further
away from the truth.
4
  • The thing is, every drop of alcohol that enters
into the body slightly affects the liver in a
negative way. When you change this drop of
alcohol into a whole lot of alcohol consumed on a
daily basis, the slight damage becomes a
significant one. Since an alcoholic is used to
drinking on a daily basis, the liver does not
even get ample time to repair itself. It however
does complete its functions to a great extent,
until one fine day when it is unable to carry the
load anymore. This means the body will only show
signs of liver failure at the last stages, when
the damage has already reached its peak.

5
  • People who are addicted to alcohol often try to
get rid of their addiction. The family members of
the alcoholic might feel that the addict simply
does not want to give up this bad habit and is
enjoying the drink at the expense of their
wellbeing. This in fact is not true in majority
of the cases. First of all even the alcoholic
knows that what they are doing is harming their
body and is affecting the people around them.

6
  • They also want to give up. But by the time they
want to get rid of alcohol their body becomes
used to it, and even though they try to run away
from it they fail. Alcoholics, who continuously
fail to get rid of their addiction, should seek
help from programs like Narconon Fresh Start.
These programs are specifically designed to help
such individuals and will also know the best way
    to deal with the addicts.
