Title: CPS Ceramics

1
CPS Ceramics
  • Leading the insulation industry into the future
  • Earl Snyder Jim Chapin

2
Benefits
  • Our product is applied directly against the
    substrate, thus preventing corrosion under
    insulation.
  • By accomplishing No. 1, it prevents the
degradation of efficacy that occurs when water
    gets under insulation.
  • Passes the UT test, allowing the inspector to
gauge the integrity of the steel without ripping
    off insulation.
  • Is easier to apply and generally costs less than
    conventional insulation.
  • It will not blow off in the wind.
  • It can be used to keep things warm or cool and to
reduce hot lines of up to 500 F to 140 F, OSHAs
    standard.
  • It can dramatically reduce power consumption by
    reflecting 99 of solar gain.

3
Most Advanced Product
  • The formula for our ceramic insulation was
developed after extensive research. One of its
unique characteristics is its ability to
withstand operating temperatures up to 500 F (260
C). This makes it the most advanced product of
    its type.

4
Safety/Personnel Protection
  • Up to 500 F, down to 140 F, OSHAs standard.
  • Passes ASTM 1057 Skin Touch test.

5
Insulation for Oil Storage Tanks
  • Kinder Morgan, Richmond, CA terminal

6
Oil Tank Roofs and Walls
7
Keeping Buildings Cool
  • The highest reflectance (83) and emissivity
    (94) of any product on the market.
  • Cut air conditioning costs dramatically.
  • Reduce contraction and expansion of roof, cutting
    maintenance costs.
  • Eliminate corrosion.
  • Only 1/10th of a pound per square foot.

8
Tanker Cars
  • Conventional tanker cars are
  • insulated with four inches of
  • fiberglass insulation with
  • an exterior steel jacket.
  • Conventional tanker cars weigh
  • 8700 pounds more than ones
  • insulated with our product.
  • Conventional tanker cars have
  • problems with corrosion under
  • the insulation.
  • Conventional tanker cars have an internal smaller
tank surrounded with an exterior larger barrel
which causes a loss of capacity.

9
Condensation
  • Condensation can be reduced or eliminated on the
    outside of cold pipes.

10
Acoustical Benefits
  • By using 30 to 40 mils (7.5 mm to 1.0 mm) of our
product on the interior of a building or on the
housing of equipment that is generating noise,
    acoustical benefits will be noticeable.

11
Masonry
  • Because of its excellent adhesion to most
surfaces, our product has been used in brick
buildings and rooftops all over the world. Shown
here, a military hospital that has coated
surfaces exposed to direct sunlight, thereby
reducing their air conditioning costs and
lowering heat absorption in the building.

12
Cost Savings
  • It goes on much more quickly than conventional
    insulation resulting in significantly lower
    costs.
  • It can be applied directly to the hot surface
without having to shut down operations.
  • It lasts longer than conventional insulation.
  • Unlike conventional insulation, it can easily be
applied to all fittings, pipe bends, pipe
    connections, etc.
  • It can easily be re-applied in situations where
it has been removed for general maintenance.
  • It is not impacted by moisture, thus does not
    require replacement after getting wet.

13
Energy Consumption Savings
  • Reflection of 99 of solar gain allows consumers
to dramatically reduce costs with high ROI.
  • States like CA, which is currently experiencing
rolling black-outs, should require that public
utilities introduce this product to their
    industrial customers.
