2Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Book Award
- Annual award given to the author of the book
voted most outstanding by students in grades 4 -
8 in Illinois - Award named in honor of Rebecca Caudill, a
childrens book author from Urbana, Illinois - Students must read a minimum of 3 of the
nominated books to vote
3The Rebecca Caudill Internet Book Club Project
was initially developed by Lori Abrahams. The
Collaboratory included it with its Sponsored
Projects.
4Official Registration
Participating teachers must send in the
registration form to the Rebecca Caudill Young
Readers Book Award Program.

Internet Book Club (IBC) - Discuss the Nominated Books in the IBC and Forum

- Students submit links about the books and
authors to the Cybrary. - Students use the Cybrary to learn more about
Rebecca Caudill and the Award Program. - Students use the Cybrary to decide which of the
nominated books to read.

Students share reviews of the nominated books
they read in the Internet Book Club. Guildelines
and expectations for how to write a quality
review were given to students.

Students also use the conference center to
discuss the books in real time.

favorite. Teachers must send their class tally
to the RCYRBA program.
