recruitment and retention issues

• Improvement in funding for moving expenses,
  travel going beyond traditional route to
  tenure, i.e. recognizing value of advising, etc.
• Promoting quality of life in the Chippewa Valley
  as a recruitment tool
• Proactive work with legislators with 01-03
  biennial budget
• Chippewa Valley Initiative 1st time UW-Eau
  Claire has received support for a special program
• Planning under way for 1st comprehensive
  fund-raising campaign
