Economy and literacy facts
Nepal is ranked 138th in the world (in terms of
GDP) Nepal has an overall literacy rate of
approximately 49, with the female literacy
hovering around 35.
Many schools are without sufficient books for
students or resource materials for
teachers. Additionally, there is no tradition of

that it will make us eligible for recognition
RI encourages all Rotaract clubs to strive for
the Rotaract Presidential Citation. To qualify
for the citation, Rotaract clubs must complete at
least three activities, one of which must fall
under community service and one under
international service. The sponsoring Rotary club
president and the RI district governor must sign
the Rotaract Presidential Citation form. - Ms.
    Eggers
  • Good Publicity for the club, the University and
    the OFallon Rotary
