    positions

16
Student Participation

students enrolled and several more on waiting
    lists!
  • Limit to class size is due to computer
    availability
  • Ms. Seimears has been with Birdville ISD for 5
    years

17
Local Industry Internships
  • Our industry is not typical in that most
production companies do not have typical offices
  • Media Tech focuses on projects during the summer
  • Examples 30 second commercials for a local
church, daycare facility, hotel chair, physical
therapist, insurance company and car rental
    company

18
Win Win!
  • This is a Win-Win situation because the kids do
quality production work less expensive than if a
company hired a full production company
  • The kids gain valuable experience and the
experience of working with a client and a budget
  • Example TexPrompt Inc.

19
Share the vision!
  • Share the dream with your administration. How to
    raise the bar?
  • Provide the advanced class student a laptop with
10 gigs of internet storage so each student will
have their own editing station at home.
  • The key to their success . they found the kids
will spend as much time on their videos as you
will give themwith laptops they will work 24/7!

20
Apples Final Cut Pro Certification
  • Birdville ISD offers it as part of the standard
curriculum no cost to the students
  • Certification generally costs 1500 at a
    corporate training center
  • Birdville ISD offers the certification to the
