Foreclosure Trends Increases Options to Purchase
Low and Sell High
(1888PressRelease) Carin Constant of East
Hampton, NY purchased an East Hampton home in
2000 that was considered one of the worst homes
in the neighborhood. Seven years later, she sold
the newly renovated home for quite a profit.
Proof that buying low and renovating can be a
great financial decision, especially with the
current number of foreclosures currently on the
market. New York, NY - Carin Constant, a
longtime resident of East Hampton recently
recalled her success in purchasing a less than
desirable home, fixing it up, and selling it
years later. Given the latest number of
foreclosures throughout the country, this fixer
upper trend may continue to grow for those
fortunate enough to find themselves in a position
to buy now. Carin H. Constant recently recalled
moving to the Hamptons in 2000 and willingly
deciding to purchase the worst house on a "south
of the highway" street in East Hampton with her
late husband. Carin Constant and her husband
spent the next seven years renovating the home
and later sold the house in 2007 for a profit.
"Sometimes you have to look past the obvious in
searching for a home and instead, look for the
potential," explained Carin H. Constant. As a
successful artist with a history of successful
exhibits in Manhattan, one might assume this
skill for seeing past the initial assumptions of
lackluster home is one that exists in a select
few however, Carin Constant notes that almost
anyone can buy low, put in a little time and
effort to achieve success by either living in
their dream home or selling it for a profit they
just need to imagine what could be instead of
focusing on initial appearance.

Carin H. Constant and her late husband bought a
tear-down house at a good value discount to the
market in East Hampton in an area referred to as
"south of the highway" in 2000. The pair then
proceeded to completely renovate the home with
Carin Constant's husband acting as the General
Contractor. Carin Constant and her husband hired
architects and builders to assist in the remodel
which included renovations to the interior,
exterior, the addition of a two car garage, as
well as landscaping and hardscaping to the entire
property located in East Hampton Village. The
five bedroom, 2,800 square foot, split level
home, located on an over-sized .32 acre lot,
features three baths, a great room with vaulted
ceilings and fireplace, an open kitchen that
opens up to an outdoor deck. The walk out lower
level features a den with French doors leading to
a secluded and beautifully landscaped backyard
with a heated pool surrounded by expansive
decking. The East Hampton Village street is
located nearby everything East Hampton has to
offer including transportation, shopping,
restaurants and more. The key to purchasing a
below market value property, explained Carin
Constant is patience and the ability to imagine
what the home could eventually become. Carin H.
Constant and her late husband completed the
renovations and sold the home in 2007 for
1.395MM.Although the housing market looks a
little bleak these days, there is an upside for
those that are able to purchase now that
currently underpriced home that you initially
dismissed could end up making you millions.
