Few Steps in Making Green Tea
1. Harvest leaves in morning hours during harvest
season.
2. Load leaves in baskets or cloth bags that
provides circulation.
3. Sort the leaves, remove twigs rock.

When tea leaves are ready for manufacturing,
drying process begins.
3 Primary Drying Styles
Sun Dried Green Tea
Leaves are laid out on mats, 2-5inches deep, in
open air. (breezy, partially sunny, dry)
The leaves are periodically flipped, tossed or
shaken.
Sun dried tea is very green in color, has grassy
or earthy flavor and bulkier in volume.

Basket Fired Green Tea
Leaves of about 2.2lbs or less are placed in the
top part of a 2 part, 2-4 foot tall bamboo basket
for heating over charcoal.
The tea will have a full flavor of grass,
mineral, and a hint of charcoal.

Pan Fired Green Tea
Double wood-fired pan and Single electric fired
pan are usually used. 2.2lbs of leaves are heated
and pressed in the pan constantly.

After any of the primary drying, the leaves will
undergo Finish Fire.
Done in a rotary drum oven, baking oven or
charcoal-fired.
