Education
  • Robert Drapkin MD is a highly qualified
    oncologist. He graduated with a Bachelors degree
    (BS) in June 1966, from the Union College in
    Schenectady, New York. From July 1966 to August
    1967, he attended the Renssellaer Polytechnic
    Institute, in Troy, New York, to pursue his
    Masters degree (MS).
  • Later, in September 1967, he joined the Wayne
    State University Medical School in Detroit,
    Michigan, and received his Doctor of Medicine
    (MD) degree, in June 1971.

Associated With Largo Medical Center
  • Robert Drapkin MD is presently affiliated with
    the Largo Medical Center. Founded in 1978, the
    Largo Medical Center delivers a wide range of
    medical services, and strives to evolve and
    expand itself, not only to accommodate with the
    latest in medicine and technology, but also with
    the continuously growing medical needs.
  • In addition to providing dependable medical care
    to the patients, it also offers clinical
    education and training to future and current

  • In addition to being a successful oncologist,
    Robert Drapkin MD has been a member of the
    Collection Committee of the Harvard Art Museum.
    Apart from this, he is also a Trustee for Museum
    of Fine Arts, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
  • Founded in 1965, by Margaret Acheson Stuart, the
    museum displays a large number of objects from
    early antiquity to the present day Some of the
    main attractions at the museum include
    masterpieces from Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne,
    Pierre-Auguste Renoir and others, a sculpture
    garden, a Steuben glass gallery and one of
    Floridas most respected photography collections.

Carried Out A Study On Bone Marrow Transplant and
Human Peripheral Blood Stem Cell
  • Robert Drapkin MD, has been a Research Assistant
    Professor in the Department of Medicine, at the
    University Of South Florida School Of Medicine,
    since September 1980. He carried out a detailed
    study on Bone Marrow Transplant and Human
    Peripheral Blood Stem Cell. From 1975 to 1977, he
    took the clinical responsibility under the
    supervision of Bayard Clarkson, MD at Memorial
    Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, New
    York.
  • Later, in 1977, along with Bayard Clarkson, MD,
    Dr. Drapkin performed a clinical research on
    human peripheral blood stem cells at Memorial
    Sloan, Kettering Cancer Center, New York. In
    addition to this, he is presently the Co-Founder
    and Co-Director of the stem cell program at
    Morton Plant Hospital.
