Who Am I?

• Erin K. McIntyre
• Sophomore at St. John Fisher College
• Attending S.J.F.C. to earn a Bachelors Degree in
  English and Adolescent Education.
• Goals To earn a Masters Degree in English
  Education and become a middle/high school English
  teacher.

My Past Technological Experiences

• Throughout middle school and high school, I was
  taught how to use programs such as PowerPoint and
  FrontPage. I also used a program entitled Virtual
  FlashCards 2.1, which is similar to Hyper Studio.
• Swish, however, was a brand new experience for me
  and gave me a lot of insight as to how the
  program could be used in classrooms.

What is Swish?

• Swish is a program that allows people to make
  thought provoking and/or inspirational movies.
• Swish is highly compatible with many computer
  programs and the internet.
• i.e. FrontPage, PowerPoint, Hyper Studio, etc.
• Swish is a great, engaging educational tool.

What can be Learned from Using Swish?

• Staging and Timing Skills which can help with
  setting up future lesson plans.
• How to integrate music and visual effects into
  presentations of any kind.
• What visuals and sounds attract peoples
  attention.

Why Use Swish in the Classroom?

• Swish is an excellent way to engage students in
  what they are learning.
• Makes presentations interactive.
• Easy for both teachers and students to use.
• Enriches presentations with emotions.

My Swish Project Timothys Law

• Timothys Law is an act that, if passed, will
  help to ensure that individuals with mental
  health and addiction illnesses can receive proper
  medical treatment. Currently, people with these
  illnesses are not covered equally, if at all,
  under health insurance.
• The rate of suicidal incidences without medical
  treatment is 80. With health coverage and
  treatment, this rate decreases to 50.
