• Milk and milk-based products imported from China
  have been contaminated with a chemical known as
  melamine
• Osan AB Public Health has verified that no
  recalled products are being sold on Osan AB.
  Items found in some off base establishments
• Food items containing melamine should not be
  consumed, all recalled items should be discarded
• The U.S. Korean FDA have issued recalls for
  several food items

Melamine Product Alert

• The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and
  the Korean FDA are actively testing food products
  that originate from China
• Steps have been taken to remove recalled items
  from grocery stores, restaurants, and vending
  machines
• Public Health Officials are monitoring the
  situation and will periodically update this
  information as it is received
• Specific recalled food items have been identified
  in the following slides
