• Laura Guttridge, a former swimsuit model, has
  been a lifelong animal activist. Since a very
  young age, she has been actively involved in
  working towards the protection of animals and has
  been honored multiple times owing to her
  dedicated services.

• She was presented the 2007 Humanitarian Award by
  the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River
  County, for excellent services. Laura Guttridge
  and friend dressed as lettuce ladies for the 20th
  anniversary gala of the Animal Rights Foundation
  of Florida, to promote a vegetarian lifestyle.

• This event was hosted by Bob Barker in Fort
  Lauderdale in March 2009. She loves animals and
  has been battling against all odds to save and
  protect them. Laura has put in a lot of hard work
  and efforts to save animals and has been an
  active participant in many protests against
  hunting and preventing cruelty to animals.

• She has also helped in bringing awareness to the
  suffering of circus animals as well as against
  using animals in circus. Laura Guttridge follows
  a vegetarian lifestyle and has also been a part
  in the promotion of the Vegetarian Starter Kit by
  PETA. She got arrested during her efforts to
  protest against hunting in the Ocala National
  Forest.

• Apart from this, she was also arrested for being
  a part of the anti-fur protest held by San Diego
  Animal Advocates. Her passion towards saving
  animals drove her to establish Marion County
  Voices For Animals. She was the Past President of
  the organization. Laura Guttridge has also helped
  raise thousands of dollars for the charity Save
  the Chimps, by chairing fundraising events for
  them.

• Apart from this, Laura Guttridge is also on the
  Board of Directors for The Animal Rights
  Foundation of Florida. She graduated with a
  Bachelors degree in Philosophy from the
  University of Central Florida. Laura has written
  a childrens book named Gypsy The Christmas Cat.
  This book has helped in motivating children about
  compassion, trust and patience.

• This book is based on the on a real-life cat
  named Gypsy. She wrote this book with an aim to
  help children learn about giving unconditional
  love, kindness, affection and a home to animals.

• Lauras passion and efforts to raise a voice
  against animal cruelty is reflected from her
  book. Besides, Laura Guttridge has also been
  working as a co-host for a popular TV talk show
  Dr. Josefina's Way. The show was formerly called
  Empowerment and has now moved online
  www.healthypowertv.com. She has also appeared in
  many TV shows like "Renegade", Silk Stalkings,
  Inside Edition", and "Current Affair
