The Manx Youth GamesExperience

• Launched Jan 2002
• 13 Sports
• 5 Regions (North, South, West and East X 2)
• Training sessions for 8 14 year olds
• Attract new children into Sport
• Weekly training sessions between January May
• 1 per session payable to the sport / coaches.

• Based in the East of the Isle of Man
• Training facility for the 2 Eastern sessions.
• Up to 20 sessions per week (mostly before 6pm on
  week days and during weekends traditionally
  quiet periods.
  
• Up to 100 children attending some sessions.

Sports Centre

• Club development Junior teams formed using the
  MYG children increased demand for facility use
  
• Junior competitions / events for many sports,
  that were previously non existent increased

• Clubs letting facilities now more aware of Child
  Protection issues, vetting, coaching
  qualifications, Insurance and ratios satisfy
  NSC Facility Hire Policy.

• Up to 2,000 children take part each year
• Huge increase in number of qualified coaches,

• New Junior Leagues / Competitions for Girls
  Football, Cricket, Rugby, Netball, Basketball and

  programmes, as a result of the MYG.
