This Christmas, There Are Lots Of Great
Biographies To Choose From!
If your Dad, older brother, Uncle or Grandfather
enjoy BBC2s Top Gear then this could be the
perfect present!
On the Edge My Story by Richard Hammond
Richard Hammond is one of our most in-demand and
best-loved television presenters. On September
20, 2006, he suffered a serious brain injury
following a high-speed car crash, and the nation
held its breath. On the Edge is his compelling
account of life before and after the accident and
an honest description of his year of recovery,
full of drama and incident.
His wife Mindy tells the story of the anxious
hours and days of watching and waiting until he
finally emerged from his coma. In an
extraordinarily powerful piece of writing, she
and Richard then piece together the stages of his
recovery as his shattered mind slowly reformed,
leaving him sometimes lucid and plausible,
sometimes confused and angry, and often
exhausted. The final chapter recounts his return
home and his triumphant reappearance in front of
the cameras.
Other Biographies available include Lewis
Hamilton, Chris Moyles, Russell Brand, Eric
Clapton, Charlotte Church, Sharon Osbourne, Ian
Botham and Gordon Ramsay.

Wilson Book! This Book Is Great For 13 Years
Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson
Sylvie and Carl have been friends since they were
tiny children. They've always played together,
eaten with each other's families, called each
other boyfriend and girlfriend and deep down,
Sylvie has always believed that they'd end up
married to each other. They even have a a magical
fantasy world that belongs to them alone - and
the glass hut where it's all created, at the
bottom of Carl's garden. But as they become
teenagers, things are starting to change. They
each have different friends. Sylvie would still
rather spend all her time with Carl. But Carl has
a new friend, Paul, who is taking all his
attention. And he seems much less happy to be
called Sylvie's boyfriend. And in a game of spin
the bottle, he avoids having to kiss her.
