  • Consumer confidence in markets is at a 9-year
    low, according to the consumer confidence Index.
    Upcoming engagement with Iraq, bad job market,
    and the consistent decline of the financial
    markets are said to be blamed. The DOW fell more
    than 150 points in reaction.
  • The consumer confidence index is based on a
    survey of around 5,000 households.
