Department of Labor Youth Reintegration Grant
Project
5
Project Award
  • The US Department of Labor awarded 16
organizations from a pool of 168 applicants from
across the country to administer the Youth
Reintegration Project. As one of the 16
recipients ADIS received an 851,249 grant per
year for upwards to 3 years.
  • Locally this project will be called the Right
Track Project. We believe that most youth
offenders are not bad kids, but good kids whove
made bad decisions. It is our obligation to put
    them on the Right Track.

6
What is the Right Track Youth Reintegration
Project?
  • The project will demonstrate/ensure
  • Innovative solutions for moving young offenders
    successfully into employment with opportunities
for careers in high growth, high demand
    industries
  • Collaborative efforts of the workforce investment
system, business and industry, the education
community, and the juvenile justice system
  • Young offenders have the foundational academic
skills they need to attain a high school diploma
or GED leading to post secondary educational
opportunities that, in turn lead to jobs in high
    growth, high demand industries.
