  • STRENGTH - Ability to exert / resist force

    fitness
  • BALANCE - Muscle groups / regimen to all facets
    of life
  • BODY COMPOSITION -Percent of body fat to lean
    muscle mass

Aerobic Exercise
  • Aerobic means air, specifically oxygen in air
  • Muscles need oxygen to function
  • to burn fat cells
  • Harder muscles work, more O2 they need
  • Aerobic Exercise makes muscles work harder, but
    not so hard as to exceed
    heart and bloods
    ability to deliver oxygen.

Anaerobic Exercise
  • Anaerobic means without oxygen
  • When exercise exceeds the hearts ability to
    supply oxygen to muscles
  • The production of lactic acid begins
