    activity info sessions

    date. Offered to field workers next season.

  • Renewed annually for three years
  • Educate parents and caregivers about healthy
    options for their families.

    workplace
  • Potential to reduce absenteeism and health

Agri-Cultures Festival Celebrating Unity
Through Diversity

HELP Nutrition /Wellness Education
  • Fall 05- Offering FREE early childhood classes
    to two MCOE Head Start Schools/ Expand in 2006 to
    other Head Start sites in county. Offer Teacher
    In-service trainings.
  • Spring 06- Partnering with Boys and Girls Clubs
    on 7 week kid/parent pilot after school wellness
    program. Potential State Model.
  • Fall 06-HELP funded FREE programs to three pilot
    schools with Life Lab, Farm to School, Big
    Sur/Just Run plus possible salad bar and HELP/PBH
    Vending Machines and HELP Ag company adopt a
    school program. Potential State Model.

Wellness Policy Parity Program A model for the
State
  • Federal Government has mandated Schools must have
    Wellness Policies in place by June 30,2006.
  • Unfunded mandate Schools are faced with budget
    and program cuts and staffing shortfalls.
  • Each District is in a different stage of
    development around this effort.
  • Schools need HELP.
