Problem Statement

• There is no easy way for students at Iowa State
  University to buy and sell used textbooks at an
  affordable price online.
• Chegg.com allows search by department and book
  title, but not by class or specific college
• Facebook.com has a cluttered interface and
  performs inter-collegiate searches for books and
  personal items
• Both examples generally require shipping charges
  and shipping delays
• Both examples do not provide the buyer a way to
  inspect the quality of the textbooks being bought

• ISUrBook.com will provide a minimalist social
  network which allows Iowa State University
  students to search for textbooks being sold for a
  specific class within a specific department by
  other students.

• Allow ISU students to register with ISUrBook.com
• Allow ISU students to update contact information
  about themselves
• Allow ISU students to list classes they are
  taking with corresponding textbooks
• Allow ISU students to sell textbooks at the end
  of a semester
• Allow ISU students to search for textbooks being
  sold by a directory listing by department and
  then course number
• Allow a search field for ISU students to type in
  a department or course number to find all
  corresponding textbook listings

• Do not allow financial transactions to be

  students in person
