Images for this presentation were made by
photographers for The San Antonio Light
newspaper between 1932 and 1939 and in 1990
mural photograph by ITC photographer Charles
Barksdale. Text was adapted by ITC Researcher
Phyllis McKenzie from The Mexican Texans, by
Phyllis McKenzie, (College Station, Texas AM
University Press, 1994), pp. 90-91.
