Habitat and food
  • Green sea turtles need tropical and sub-tropical
    beaches and waters to survive. The green sea
    turtle lives in shallow sea grass meadows. For
    food the babies will eat shrimp, small fish and
    sea grasses plus algae. The adults eat sea
    grasses and algae.

Animal Description
  • The green sea turtle has been known for centuries
    by their body fat which is green. They are
    usually black, yellow, or brown with a carpace on
    the top and a plastron on the bottom.

Why Endangered
  • The green sea turtle has been caught in fishing
    nets on accident and drowned or they were caught
    for food and leather.
  • Pollution that can trap them underwater or that
    they can choke on.

    sea turtles.

    bask in the sun.

    be preserved in wildlife conservations and zoos
    . These amazing animal and should be saved.
