La aplicación de algoritmos DIAGNÓSTICOS la
combinación de los resultados de las pruebas hace
que sea posible determinar el agente viral
causante y la etapa de la infección (Van Walraven
and Goel 2002). Muchos algoritmos ORIENTAN
hacia la adición o supresión de una prueba en
función del resultado de otra (Wu 1998) Se han
establecido algoritmos para la serología de
hepatitis (Ahmed Keeffe 2000 Bendinelli et al.
2000 Sacher et al. 2000 Centros para el
Control y la Prevención 2003) Las publicaciones
de evaluación de los efectos de estos algoritmos
son limitadas (Van Walraven and Goel 2002).
