• It is all about COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.
• The UNION wants to have a Contract so they can
  Control Wages, Benefits, and Working Conditions.

• A Union is like a club. Its a group of
  firefighters that get together apart from other
  firefighters. Deciding what is wrong and right
  for the fire fighters.
• There is no requirements for this club. Any fire
  fighter can be a member of the union.

How does Prop 1 affect US??

• RAISES TAXES! Yes, you heard me right taxes.
• Where else would the money come from?? The only
  way would be higher taxes.
• The Mayor and City Council that we vote for will
  no longer be in charge of flexible labor
  contractsThe Union will be In Charge.

• NO DEGREE NEEDED
• Total fire fighters have..
• 67 fire fighters, 4 sub-stations, 1 central
  station, 14 fire trucks, 37,000 fire fighters
  base salary.

Is Prop 1 a Safety Issue??

• No, DO NOT BE MISLED.
• If this was a safety issue my father that is a
  fire fighter would not be voting no when his son
  is a fire fighter as well and has a family of his
  own.
• Why didnt the police officers go for Collective
  Bargaining?? Instead Police Officers went for an
  Alternative. Why cant the Fire fighter union do
  the same??
• Fire trucks are good for about 25 years. Even if
  they got new fire truck they can break down as
  well.
• The union wants more control then what they
  already had. Why do they want contracts?? Do they
  not trust the Mayor or the City Council when we
  are the ones that vote for them??

Do I Support the Union and the Fire Fighters??

• Yes,
• I appreciate the dedication and the hard work
  that the fire fighters and the union has done for
  us. BUT I do believe this is one thing the union
  is doing WRONG.
• When fire fighters are called to a call of
  duty..I know that the Union fire fighters and the
  non- union Fire fighters will work together
  because they are brothers/heroes. Why should fire
  fighters be separated??
• I believe that the Union needs to get along with
  the Mayor and the City Council and be adults and
  heroes that they are.
• Beggars can not be choosers The union should
  appreciate what the city does for them and us.
  AND THE LAST TEN YEARS SPEEKS FOR ITS SELF.
