Rules of Engagement
  • Preparation
  • Clear desks of all books, notes, etc.
  • Split the class into two teams
  • Appoint one impartial spotter

Rules of Engagement
  • 1 Scorekeeper per team position will rotate
    every round
  • Knowledge Bowl will consist of ten rounds of
    seven questions
  • Players may not discuss the questions before or
    after the question is read
  • Anyone talking besides the person answering the
    question will cost their team 5 points
  • Correct answers worth 10 points Incorrect
    answers lose 5 points
  • Instructor will read each question until one of
    the students raises his/her hand
  • Student will have 10 seconds to answer the
    question once recognized by the instructor
  • If an individual gives an incorrect answer, the
    opposing side has a chance to answer, but an
    individual must be recognized
  • If an individual answers a question correctly,
    they cannot participate during the next question

Rules of Engagement
  • Scorekeepers responsibilities
  • Each scorekeeper will keep track of both teams
    scores
  • Scores must match at all times. If scores do not
    match, the instuctor will stop the Knowledge Bowl
    until scorekeepers resolve the difference
  • Spotters Responsibilities
  • Spotters should be aware at all times to watch
    for contestants raising their hands
  • Instructor has final say on who extended their
    hand but will remain impartial and fair throughout
