What is the SAC?
  • Stands for Student Assistance Center
  • The SAC is the one place on campus you can come
    to take care of all your university business.
  • If you dont know who to ask or where to go, come

What can I do at the SAC?
  • You can do any of the following and lots of other
    things as well!
  • Find out your password
  • Ask questions
  • Confirm your classes
  • Get Insurance
  • Get your Adviser's contact information
  • Get Student ID card
  • Stop and say Hello to us!

  • What is it?
  • What do I need to do to confirm?

  • Do I have to confirm if I have a scholarship or
    other types of financial aid?

Student Insurance
  • All students on an F-1 visa must carry the
    Student Insurance plan
  • Policy information is available online at
  • http//www.bollingerschools.com/park/
  • Check your email for notification of when your
    insurance card is available for pick up in the SAC

Refund Policy
  • Any course dropped during the first eight (8)
    days of any term will receive a 10 charge if no
    class is added in its place.
  • Please refer to the undergraduate catalog for a
    full refund schedule.

Student Paychecks
  • If you have a job working on campus, you will
    pick up your check in the SAC
  • Payday is the 10th of each month
  • Be sure to bring some form of picture ID with you
    (student ID, Drivers license, etc) to pick up
    the check

Academic Adviser
  • All students are assigned an academic adviser
    according to their declared major
  • If you do not know who your adviser is, stop by
    the Student Assistance Center (SAC) to find out
  • Your academic adviser has many roles, among them,
    they help you choose courses and work towards
    completing your degree. They are also a great
    resource for many other things related to your
    academic success at Park University
  • Get to know your adviser!

  • As a college student, you will learn a lot of new
    vocabulary. In the advising portfolio, you will
    find a few pages of important vocabulary you will
    want to familiarize yourself with over the next
    several semesters
  • If you ever have a question, dont be afraid to
    ask!

What is the WCT?
  • Writing Competency Test
  • When do I take it?
  • You will take this once you have completed EN105
    and EN106
  • Why do I take it?
  • It is a requirement for graduation and all
    students take the WCT before taking the final
    English composition course (EN306)
  • How do I take it?
  • You will pick up the information packet in the
    SAC 10 days before the test date and the packet
    will have all of the information you will need.

  • Where is it?
  • Located in Mabee 406 (near the library)
  • What can they help me do?

    others)

Parking Permit
  • All cars parked on campus must have a parking
    sticker displayed in the rear window.
  • Apply in person 24 hrs a day with the Public
    Safety Office (Lower level of Thompson Student
    Center)

  • Your information is private and the university
    will NOT speak to anyone about your student
    information
  • UNLESS
  • You give the university written permission to
    speak with a specific person(s).

Direct Deposit
  • As soon as you have a bank account opened, you
    are encouraged to place a direct deposit
    authorization on file
  • This is the FASTEST and SAFEST way to get any
    type of refund on your account.
