Connecting 2006 Meeting to 2007 Meeting
  • Members provided input to board during 2006
    Membership Meeting and Conference.
  • Those unable to attend the Membership Meeting
    responded via website.
  • Board incorporated member input during the
    strategic planning process at the face-face
    meeting in July 2006.
  • Board reported back to members the results of
    their input in The Leader (Fall Issue) with a
    renewed Strategic Plan for 2007-2008.

  • Members were invited to participate in eight
    newly formed work groups around strategic
    initiatives.
  • Work group chairs and co-chairs were identified
    with succession planning in mind.
  • Orientation was conducted for new chairs and
    co-chairs around structures, timelines,
    deliverables and accountability.
  • Work Groups have formed and are at various
    stages of development.

  • What else can we do as a Society to recruit and
    retain future members/leaders?
  • What else can we do as a Society to enhance our
    structures for mentoring and developing new
    leaders?
  • Please discuss one question at each table for
    the next 10 minutes. We will ask each group to
    report back to the audience one recommendation.
    Other recommendations can be added on sticky
    notes and placed on poster boards.
